The UP Horticultural Society is a duly recognized academic organization in UPLB. Since 1974, the society aims to enrich horticulture through practice, to promote and develop meaningful extension, to develop responsible leadership, to foster cooperation and mutual assistance among its members and to contribute to the total development of the UPLB community and ultimately to the larger society.

Membership
As of Second Semester, AY 2024-2025, this student organization has 43 members. Since UP HortSoc is a college-based student organization, only non-freshman students from CA may apply to join the organization.
Like other fraternities in the university, there is a process for membership to UP HortSoc. All recognized student organizations have pledged their compliance to the Republic Act 8049 or the Anti-Hazing Law.
