HARMONYA: THE STRING ENSEMBLE OF UPLB
Cultural Organization, clustered under Cultural, established in 2009.
Harmonya: The String Ensemble of UPLB employs the classical technique in music but is not limited to the classical genre as it also explores the contemporary. Consisting of students from all the different colleges of UPLB, the group also has a unique and rare composition similar to a Comparza, a variation of a rondalla having bowed instruments. It dedicates its existence to the ardent pursuit of excellence in music and is not closed to playing just one genre of music but explores all, from classical to contemporary. The group would like to give back to the community by sharing their talents and through this, make people better appreciate that most wonderful thing that life could even be colorless and meaningless without--MUSIC.

Membership
As of Second Semester, AY 2024-2025, this student organization has 73 members. Non-freshman students may apply to join the student organization.
Like other fraternities in the university, there is a process for membership to Harmonya UPLB. All recognized student organizations have pledged their compliance to the Republic Act 8049 or the Anti-Hazing Law.
